16. Signal-filtration methodology for estimation of fuel level
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknikSammanfattning : Knowing how much fuel there is in a car is important for a predictable driving experience. Such knowledge will dictate how a person drives, when to refuel and how long they can drive. However unprocessed fuel level signals are highly noisy and therefore misleading. LÄS MER
17. Evaluation and Validation of an Ultrasound Modeling Tool
Master-uppsats, KTH/Numerisk analys, NASammanfattning : An ultrasound modeling tool, from the software newFASANT, which uses a ray- tracing technique is analyzed, tested and evaluated for industrial purpose in the automotive industry in collaboration with Volvo Car Corporation. The specific application for which it is evaluated is to simulate the sensor surrounding (traffic environment) for ultrasound sensors on cars. LÄS MER
18. Fretting tests on connector terminals
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknikSammanfattning : Fretting is a complex set of mechanical and electrical mechanics that occurs at the contact surface between two vibrating objects. It is widely present in electrical connectors close to combustion engines due to the constant exposure to vibrations. Fretting is an extensive problem in the automotive industry but little research is done. LÄS MER
19. Concept development of steering column : Accommodating business commuters in a level four autonomous car
Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Fakulteten för hälsa, natur- och teknikvetenskap (from 2013)Sammanfattning : This thesis reports on a collaborative concept development with Volvo Car Corporation. The problem underlying the concept development was to innovate a steering device for a level-four autonomous car. LÄS MER
20. Visualization of Test Failure Data to Support Fault Localisation in Distributed Embedded Systems within the Automotive Industry
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknikSammanfattning : In this thesis we present the design, development and evaluation of a software tool with the purpose of assisting in the localisation of root causes of test case failures in distributed embedded systems, specifically vehicle systems controlled by a network of electronic control units (ECUs). Fault localisation is especially hard in such systems due to its distributed nature, and often organisations rely on the knowledge of in-house specialists for detecting and rectifying the underlying root cause of test case failures.
