1. Characterization of mineral parageneses and metamorphic textures in eclogite- to high-pressure granulite-facies marble at Allmenningen, Roan, western Norway
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionenSammanfattning : The Roan peninsula in western Norway, Vestranden, is known for exposing one of the deepest parts of the Scandinavian Caledonian orogen, similar to the Western Gneiss Region. Throughout the Roan area, eclogites and high-pressure granulite- and amphibolite-facies gneisses occur, associated with supracrustal rocks including marbles, calc-silicate rocks and amphibolites. 2. Structural Reconnaissance Mapping of the Nasa Basement Window, Southern Norrbotten Caledonides
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurserSammanfattning : Too few documentative descriptions exist from the reactivated Proterozoic Nasa Basement window in Sweden. This re-exposed crustal piece predominantly consisting of 1.8 Ga granite and volcanic basement rock lack structural evidences on maps. LÄS MER
3. Pressure Temperature Conditions of the Otrøy Opmhacite-Garnet Gneiss, Western Gneiss Region, Skandinavian Caledonides
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : Garnet-omphacite gneisses from the island of Otrøy situated in Western Gneiss Region (WGR), Norway, Scandinavian Caledonides, were examined within this study. The WGR is one of the planets most studied ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) terranes. The studied gneisses are hosts for UHP garnet peridotites and eclogites. LÄS MER
4. Eklogitiska bergarter i Roan, Vestranden, Norge : en mineralinventering och texturstudie
Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionenSammanfattning : During reconnaissance field work in the westernmost part of Vestranden, Nord-Trøndelag, Norway, some eclogitic rocks were found (by Leif Johansson and Charlotte Möller). They are of interest, because until now, eclogites have not been found in this northern part of the Western Gneiss Region. LÄS MER
