    Sammanfattning : In this thesis I conduct a study on the real-world artworks exhibited in the museum in the Nintendo Switch game Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The in-game museum features an art exhibition consisting of virtual recreations of 43 different artworks from the 19th century all the way back to ancient times. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the intersection between lithium extraction and contemporary art through a visual semiotic analysis of three contemporary artworks: Unknown Fields’ We Power Our Future With the Breast Milk of Volcanoes, Marcela Magno’s Land [2] Litio, and Julian Charrière’s Future Fossil Spaces. It explores how lithium extraction is visualised in the selected artworks, what connotations can be extracted from them, the geopolitical dimension expressed in them, and how they relate to the myth of ‘green’ transition. The thesis addresses questions of how students use the physical books in the library room and if the physical books are perceived by the students as a source of formal and informal learning and serendipity.
