  1. 1. Stability improvement to a ruthenium catalyst for partial oxidation of methane

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)

    Författare :Melker Axelsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :catalysis; reaction engineering; kinetics; partial oxidation; chemical engineering; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Catalytic partial oxidation of methane (CPOM) is an energy-efficient alternative to steam reforming, the currently prevailing method for energy production from natural gas. Hulteberg Chemistry & Engineering AB has developed a catalyst for the partial oxidation of methane into syngas, for use in solid oxide fuel cells. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Effect of powder spray drying on catalyst formulation in tablet form

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)

    Författare :Kajsa Wahlgren; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Spray dryer; Catalyst; Powder; Flowability; Chemical engineering; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Heterogenous catalysts consist of a large surface area support material applied with the catalytic active phase, and the activity of a catalyst is often correlated to the surface area per volume. Support materials often need to be processed further to be optimal for specific processes. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Study of Reverse Water Gas Shift reaction using bimetallic catalysts on active supports : The case of unpromoted and K-promoted FeCu/CeO2

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Kemiteknik

    Författare :Carlo Sala; [2022]
    Nyckelord :CO2 utilization; RWGS; catalyst; active catalytic support; characterization; CO2 användning; RWGS; katalysator; aktiva katalysatorbärare; karakterisering;

    Sammanfattning : Reverse Water Gas Shift Reaction (RWGS) är en attraktiv lösning för CO2-använding och minskning av utsläppen i atmosfären. Denna reaktion begränsas av termodynamiken och det finns problem med storskalig tillämpning. För att förbättra genomförandet av processen krävs utveckling av en effektiv katalysator. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Development of a modern catalytic system for the production of C3+ aliphatic alcohols by the Fischer-Tropsch method

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Energiteknik

    Författare :Aravind Ganesan; [2019]
    Nyckelord :syngas; Cobalt; Fischer-Tropsch; alcohols; hydrocarbons; syngas; kobolt; Fischer-Tropsch; alkoholer; kolväten;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with converting a mixture of H2 and CO, also referred to as syngas or producer gas, to higher or mixed alcohols and other fuels through a process called Fischer Tropsch Synthesis (FTS). It is a beneficial pathway that minimizes the dependence on oil and similar fossil fuels which contribute to rapid climate change by releasing harmful greenhouse gases. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Enzyme engineering of a haloacid dehalogenase-like phosphatase from Thermotoga neopolitana for optimization of substrate specificity

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Bioteknik (master)

    Författare :Samuel Sutiono; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Catalytic efficiency; Haloacid dehalogenase-like hydrolase; Enzyme engineering; Thermal stability; Inhibition; biotechnology; bioteknik; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Haloacid dehalogenase (HAD)-like hydrolases represent a vast superfamily characterised by their ability to form covalent enzyme-substrate intermediates facilitating the cleavage of C-Cl, C-P, or CO-P bonds. Within this work one member of this superfamily, HAD from Thermotoga neopolitana (HADTn) exhibiting a phosphatase (P-O bond cleavage) like activity was investigated in the context of altering the substrate specificity.
