    Sammanfattning : This study aimed to examine the presence of self-medication and in Swedish autobiographies, the understanding of the self-medication process. A narrated qualitative research method, with a content analysis of the autobiographies, was used to investigate the authors' descriptions of their drug and/or alcohol addiction and life story.
