  1. 1. Misalignment effects on the physics performance of the inner tracker upgrade at the ALICE experiment

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik

    Författare :Jesper Karlsson Gumprecht; [2024]
    Nyckelord :ALICE; ITS; ITS2; ITS3; O2; O2Physics; Distortion; Misalignment; Alignment; Realignment; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the physics performance of an approved inner tracker upgrade of the ALICE experiment involving a novel and ultra-thin silicon detector with a cylindrical geometry. During the thesis work, a method was developed in simulations to induce distortions to the detector’s geometry, and the resulting loss in physics performance was evaluated. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Att översätta kvinnor: Svenska kvinnliga författare och den franska litterära sfären Moa Martinsons Kvinnor och äppelträd (1933) och Johanne Lykke Holms Strega (2020) i fransk översättning

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Masterprogram: Litteratur - Kultur – Media

    Författare :Ella Fatima Claude Hablal; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Languages and Literatures;

    Sammanfattning : Bien que les recherches sur la littérature suédoise traduite en français demeurent limitées, les chercheurs ont récemment été unanimes sur un aspect : celui de la croissance significative, au cours des dernières décennies, du nombre d'autrices suédoises traduites en français. La présente recherche porte par conséquent sur la manière dont les ces dernières sont traduites et publiées en français, ainsi que sur le procédé selon lequel le processus de traduction contribue à l'expression de l'écriture féminine. 3. 3. CCU in Scandinavia: an uncertainty analysis regarding the future state of captured carbon in the region.

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för energivetenskaper

    Författare :Marta Gebellí Carrasco; William Melander; [2023]
    Nyckelord :CCU; E-kerosene; Precast concrete; CO2 utilization; Scandinavian region; Defossilization; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The urgent need to mitigate climate change has prompted researchers to investigate novel strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. One promising technology that might ease the way for sustainable and circular economies is carbon capture and utilization (CCU), which not only captures CO2 emissions but also uses them to produce valuable products. 4. 4. The effect of furniture on room acoustic parameters and its dependence on the sound absorbing properties of the ceiling

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Teknisk akustik; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för byggvetenskaper

    Författare :Huong Nguyen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Room acoustics; furniture; Sabine s formula; SEA model; sound absorption; sound scattering; reverberation time; speech clarity; sound strength; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : In ordinary public rooms such as classrooms and offices, the base line of acoustical treatment is an absorbent suspended ceiling. Due to the non-uniform distribution of the absorptive ceiling material, the scattering as well as the absorption properties of furniture will have a significant effect on room acoustic parameters such as reverberation time, speech clarity and sound strength. 5. 5. Performance comparison of WebGPU and WebGL in the Godot game engine

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Fakulteten för datavetenskaper

    Författare :Emil Fransson; Jonatan Hermansson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Game Engine; Performance Overhead; Rendering; WebGPU; WebGL; Spelmotor; Prestandakostnader; Rendering; WebGPU; WebGL;

    Sammanfattning : Background. For rendering graphics on the web, WebGL has been the standard API to employ over the years. A new technology, WebGPU, has been set to release in 2023 and utilizes many of the novel rendering approaches and features common for the native modern graphics APIs, such as Vulkan. LÄS MER
