  1. 21. The Effects of the EU Taxonomy on Municipal Energy Investment Plans - A qualitative study exploring the effects of the EU taxonomy in bioenergy investment strategies related to the energy plan of Gothenburg municipality

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Företagsekonomiska institutionen

    Författare :Stina Bäckrud; Annie Kjellberg; Sarah Rosensohn; [2022-07-01]
    Nyckelord :EU Taxonomy; Investment strategies; Bioenergy; Energy planning; Municipality; the Porter Hypothesis;

    Sammanfattning : One of the most recent climate initiatives of the European Union (EU) is the Taxonomy Regulation (EU/2020/852), a tool to redirect capital towards sustainable investment and to achieve the goals set in Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement. The taxonomy’s classification system is a predetermined and union-wide definition of sustainable economic activities, risking to be in conflict with different local perceptions of what is sustainable. 2. 22. Evaluation of Bioenergy With Carbon Capture and Storage Through Multi-criteria Decision Analysis : A Case Study of a Swedish Pharmaceutical Company

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Aleksander Vuksanovic; Marko Gajic; [2022]
    Nyckelord :CCS; BECCS; MCDA; PESTLE; Opportunities and Challenges; Sustainability; Carbon neutral; Carbon negative; Pharmaceutical industry; Climate change mitigation action; CCS; BECCS; MCDA; PESTLE; Möjligheter och utmaningar; Hållbarhet; CO2 neutral; CO2 negativ; Läkemedelsindustri; Åtgärder för att begränsa klimatförändring;

    Sammanfattning : The latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) highlights the great threats of climate change. The chemical industry, including the pharmaceutical sector, is one of the significant contributors to global greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), representing nearly 7% of global carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. 3. 23. Assessing pathways for Net zero emissions in a recycled paper mill

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Laura Marcela Lopez Bonilla; [2022]
    Nyckelord :decarbonisation; net zero emissions; carbon capture and storage; hydrogen; electrification; recycled paper.; avkarbonisering; nettonollutsläpp; avskiljning och lagring av koldioxid; väte; elektrifiering; returpapper.;

    Sammanfattning : It is known that the decarbonization of our economy is crucial for our quest to mitigate climate change and build a sustainable society. Governments are reviewing strategies to eliminate, or at least minimize, the release of carbon emissions into the atmosphere. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Techno-Economic Assessment of a Post-Combustion CO2 Capture Unit in SCA Östrand Pulp Mill

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Energiprocesser

    Författare :Abhishek Subramani; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage; Post-Combustion Capture; Monoethanol Amine; Chilled Ammonia; Techno-Economic Assessment;

    Sammanfattning : The Paris Agreement has ambitious targets to limit the global warming below 1.5 °Cin the 21st century. This goal is reflected in the national climate targets, for example, Sweden aims to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045, and thereafter achieve negative emissions. LÄS MER

  5. 25. The promised land for bioenergy

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för miljö- och klimatvetenskap (CEC)

    Författare :Hedda Thomson Ek; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Agriculture; agricultural residuals; bioeconomy; bioenergy; energy security; farmers; intermediate crops; iLUC; willingness; land use change; motivation and action; Sweden; Scania; production methods; underutilized lands; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Bioenergy derived from agricultural biomass has potential to phase out fossil energy sources while strengthening the bioeconomy. To estimate the agricultural sector's potential to meet the rising demand for renewable energy sources, it is crucial to understand what motivate farmers to sustainably increasing agricultural feedstock production.
