  1. 1. Manipulering av bildhastighet och dess känslomässiga påverkan på tittarupplevelse vid olika format

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :William O'Grady; Emil Währme; [2023]
    Nyckelord :motion pictures; film; tv; video; viewer perception; HFR; frame rate; frame interpolation; motion smoothing;

    Sammanfattning : Frame rate is a fundamental element of creating the illusion of movement in video based media. For almost a century film has been produced in agreement with a standard frame rate of 24 frames per second, originally established due to technical limitations. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Predictive vertical CPU autoscaling in Kubernetes based on time-series forecasting with Holt-Winters exponential smoothing and long short-term memory

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Thomas Wang; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Kubernetes; Docker; Container; Cloud Native; Cloud Computing; Resource Provisioning; Autoscaling; Predictive scaling; CPU Usage; Seasonality; Exponential Smoothing; Long short-term memory; Time-series Analysis; Kubernetes; Docker; Container; Cloud Native; Cloud Computing; Resursförsörjning; Autoskalning; prediktiv skalning; CPU Användning; Säsongsmässighet; Exponentiell utjämning; långt korttidsminne; tidsserieanalys;

    Sammanfattning : Private and public clouds require users to specify requests for resources such as CPU and memory (RAM) to be provisioned for their applications. The values of these requests do not necessarily relate to the application’s run-time requirements, but only help the cloud infrastructure resource manager to map requested virtual resources to physical resources. 3. 3. Analysing Raman spectra of crystalline cellulose degradation by fungi using artificial neural networks

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Sebastian Hutteri; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Raman spectroscopy; artificial neural networks; saprotrophic fungi; cellulose; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the use of artificial neural networks for classifying Raman spectra of partially degraded cellulose samples by fungal species. A multilayer perceptron configuration of 4 hidden layers and 128 hidden nodes was able to classify a set of 60 samples with an overall prediction accuracy of 0.55. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Determination of fossil share in combustion of waste : Development of a novel method using NIR spectroscopy to predict the content of plastics in RDF-material

    Master-uppsats, Mälardalens högskola/Akademin för ekonomi, samhälle och teknik

    Författare :Christian Dahl; [2018]
    Nyckelord :NIR; Near infra-red; spectroscopy; chemometrics; waste material; fossil share;

    Sammanfattning : Incineration of waste materials has become a common way to handle a worldwide increase of produced waste materials. The problem with waste as fuel is that the material is not homogeneous and include a mixture of fossils and renewables. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Noise Reduction in Flash X-ray Imaging Using Deep Learning

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Avdelningen för beräkningsvetenskap

    Författare :Tobias Sundman; [2018]
    Nyckelord :flash x-ray imaging; machine learning; deep learning; neural network; locally connected layer; autoencoder; LCLS; GPU; tensorflow; python; U-Net; free electron laser; selu; scaled exponential linear unit; diffraction; simulation; residual; concatenation;

    Sammanfattning : Recent improvements in deep learning architectures, combined with the strength of modern computing hardware such as graphics processing units, has lead to significant results in the field of image analysis. In this thesis work, locally connected architectures are employed to reduce noise in flash X-ray diffraction images. LÄS MER
