  1. 1. Det stora vardagsrummet : en filmstudie om trafiknätets effekter på det offentliga rummet

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management (from 130101)

    Författare :Johan Hultman; [2020]
    Nyckelord :film; rekreation; trafikplanering; bilism; mobilitet;

    Sammanfattning : Resultatet av de senaste decenniernas trafikplanering, där bilismen riktats stort fokus, tyder på ett behov av en ökad förståelse för hur detta påverkar rekreativa värden i staden. Det här arbetet undersöker möjligheten att genom film skildra denna problematik. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Implementation of a Block Krylov Algorithm in Variational Data Assimilation

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Clémentine Gas; [2019]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Numerical weather prediction relies on two major components: sophisticated atmospheric forecast models and equally important data assimilation algorithms. Data assimilation (DA) is the process used to produce the best estimate of the state of a model, using an Earth system numerical model and observations. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Multistressors Related to Climate Change and Their Effects on Global Biodiversity during the Cenozoic Age

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Miljövetenskaplig utbildning

    Författare :Robin Mårtensson; [2018]
    Nyckelord :multistressors; biodiversity; paleontology; Paleocene; Eocene; Oligocene; Miocene; Pliocene; Pleistocene; sea level; deep ocean temperature; sea surface temperature; carbon dioxide; foraminifera; ocean circulation; Cenozoic; paleoceanography; climate change; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : As multistressors have been shown to have significant effects on biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, the following study was made with the purpose of examining how a number of stressors specifically connected to climate change may have varied during the latest 65,5 million years and whether it is possible to predict potential effects on global biodiversity in the future. The analyses focused on global species richness during the Cenozoic age along with variables such as variations in atmospheric CO2, sea surface temperatures and global sea levels derived from analyses of various stable isotopes found in marine sediments. 4. 4. Numerical Simulation of Diurnal Planetary Boundary Layer Effects and Diurnal Mountain-Wind Effects

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Robin Isaksson; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Numerical weather prediction; planetary boundary layer; mountain-wind system; WRF; Numerisk väderprognos; atmosfäriskt gränsskikt; bergvindsystem; WRF;

    Sammanfattning : The Weather Research and Forecasting Model was used to study its accuracy and representation in modelling a study area within a complex wind system as well as the effects on the model when using different input data and physics schemes. The complex wind system consists of diurnal mesoscale effects from the nearby Pyrenees mountain range and diurnal effects from the planetary boundary layer. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The cosmic-ray events around AD 775 and AD 993 : assessing their causes and possible effects on climate

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Florian Mekhaldi; [2014]
    Nyckelord :cosmic-rays; cosmogenic radionuclides; GICC05; NGRIP; solar proton event; storminess; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Miyake et al. (2012, 2013) discovered rapid increases of 14C content in tree rings dated to AD 774-5 and AD 992-3 which were attributed to unprecedented cosmic-ray events. These extreme particle events have no counterparts in the instrumental and historical record and consequently praised great interest. LÄS MER
