  1. 1. Analysis of Map3k-dependent molecular mechanisms regulating signaling in iNKT and B cells

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Examensarbeten i molekylärbiologi

    Författare :Saba Anwar; [2013]
    Nyckelord :Biology and Life Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract Our immune system consists of two types of lymphocytes; B lymphocytes which produce antibodies in response to an antigen, and T lymphocytes which differentiate into particular effector T lymphocytes such as a cytotoxic, helper or regulatory T cell in response to an antigen. Type 1 invariant natural killer T cells (iNKT cells) are a unique population of T cells whose phenotypical, developmental and functional characteristics differ from conventional T cells (Novak and Lehuen, 2011). 2. 2. Studies on the role of alpha enolase as a candidate autoantigen in pristane-induced arthritis and immunological tolerance of citrullinated type II collagen

    L3-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Molecular Biosciences

    Författare :Imran Mohammad; [2012]
    Nyckelord :rheumatoid arthritis; collagen type II; enolase; IL-17; PADI2; PADI4;

    Sammanfattning : Rheumatoid Arthritis is a symmetric polyarticular disease, which mainly targets the synovial membrane, cartilage and bone of small diarthrodial joints of hand and feet. The etiology of rheumatoid arthritis remains uncertain. Pristane‐induced arthritis in the DA rat is a widely used experimental arthritis model. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Suppressive DNA vaccination in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis and how it affects gene expression of inflammatory mediators

    Kandidat-uppsats, Institutionen för medicinsk biokemi och mikrobiologi

    Författare :Charlotta Jakobsson; [2007]
    Nyckelord :EAE MS; IL-17; IL-17 producing T-cells; autoimmunity; autoimmune T-cell responses; interfering RNA;

    Sammanfattning : Vaccination with DNA encoding the encephalitogenic autoantigen myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG), pMOG91-108, induce a protective immunity against experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), an animal model of human multiple sclerosis. By injection of a DNA vaccine that contains a DNA region encoding short interfering RNA specific for IFNβ (pMOG-IFNβ) the protective effect of the DNA vaccination is totally inhibited. LÄS MER
