  1. 1. Hur påverkas fladdermöss av bytet till LED från traditionella ljuskällor? : En jämförelse mellan olika ljuskällors påverkan på fyra arter av fladdermöss i Karlstads kommun

    Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Fakulteten för hälsa, natur- och teknikvetenskap (from 2013)

    Författare :Jennifer Lehikoinen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Chiroptera; bats; LED; light pollution; artificial lighting; ALAN; Chiroptera; fladdermöss; LED; ljusföroreningar; artificiell belysning;

    Sammanfattning : Ljusföroreningar är ett stort framväxande problem och då fladdermöss oftast är nattaktiva erfaras de ingå i den taxa som påverkas mest. LED-belysning blir allt vanligare i gatubelysning och utstrålar bland annat inget UV-ljus jämfört med traditionella ljuskällor som utstrålar UV-ljus och därmed förändrar insekters- och potentiellt fladdermössens beteende. 2. 2. Using the AudioMoth - a novel passive acoustic monitoring technology - to monitor bat diversity in a rewilded landscape

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies

    Författare :Koen Pronk; [2022]
    Nyckelord :passive acoustic monitoring; bioindicator; chiroptera; audioMoth; trophic rewilding;

    Sammanfattning : Ecosystem restoration through the reintroduction of grazers is gaining interest across Europe. Large herbivores are associated with landscape heterogeneity, restoration of trophic cascades and biodiversity. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Bats in Urban Sweden : A multiple regression analysis of bats’ relationship to urbanization

    Master-uppsats, Södertörns högskola/Miljövetenskap

    Författare :Nils Andersson Skog; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Urban ecology; Insectivorous bats; Chiroptera; Species composition; Bioindicator; Sustainable development;

    Sammanfattning : Human development continues to use up more physical space in the natural world, threatening the natural habitats of many organisms. To combat the loss of biodiversity science needs to explore what landscape features are important for different organisms so that we can incorporate these into the modern environment. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Bats as hosts of zoonotic pathogens : potential conflicts between nature conservation and public health

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies

    Författare :Therese Thalin; [2021]
    Nyckelord :bats; conservation; Daubenton’s bat; Myotis daubentonii; public health; vector; zoonotic pathogens;

    Sammanfattning : Bats belong to the order Chiroptera, one of the most species rich mammalian groups of Sweden, but it is also the most threatened one. Nineteen different bat species have been found in Sweden, of which 12 are red-listed. Globally rodents and bats are the animal groups known to host most zoonotic pathogens. LÄS MER

  5. 5. As Blind as a Bat : Myths, Misunderstandings and Perceptions of Bats Through the Anthropocene

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för arkeologi och antik historia

    Författare :Eleanor Åhslund Glass; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Ethography; Biophilia; Ethnography; Chiroptera; Bat-Human Relationship;

    Sammanfattning : The bat and human relationship has been one of ambiguity through the Anthropocene. Bats have been both persecuted and revered in different cultures and negative perceptions of bats remain widespread, causing concern for the support of bat conservation. LÄS MER
