   Sammanfattning : This is a comparative cultural study from a literary perspective, focusing on characterization in Western and Eastern storytelling. By comparing a selection of Korean dramas with Anglo-American TV series and films, I want to examine possible similarities and differences in the character representation, emotional expressions and philosophies of the stories, as well as how these may be grounded in different cultural structures. Black Beauty (1877) by Anna Sewell is the very first horse-book and was therefore what started the genre.
