    Sammanfattning : The aim of this master’s thesis is to examine how collaboration is represented in guiding documents and practice concerning reading promotional work towards children and youth within Sandviken’s cultural center’s public library and the house of literature. This is examined through a case study of the public library’s and the house of literature’s activities for children and youth, with a focus on how collaboration affects the organizations work towards these target groups.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to gain a deeper understanding of how librarians in Swedish public- and academic libraries approach the much-disputed question regarding the acquisition of controversial materials. This study is based on six semi-structured interviews with seven different librarians working in either public- or academic libraries in the south of Sweden, all assigned with the task of acquiring new materials to their library collection.     Sammanfattning : In this master thesis I examine the conceptions that are found among children's librarians and course managers for courses in pedagogy at Swedish LIS education on how pedagogy can be linked to the children's librarian's role in working with children aged 0–6. As well as how pedagogy can be linked to the children's librarians' examples of working methods that they themselves do not link to pedagogy, but which I have been able to link to pedagogy in the analysis.
