    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to describe the genre of library podcasts that have emerged in Sweden since 2013.Through the overall design of a comparative multiple case study, the two pioneering examples of Cirkelpodden and Bibliotekspodden Solen are being described and compared, in order to contribute to a better understanding of what these radio productions consist of, on what reasons they have been established and finally what this practice based on more explicit journalistic working methods might implicate for the profession of the public librarian.
