    Sammanfattning : Studiens syfte är att undersöka och förstå svenska regeringens skilda biståndspolitiska agerande gentemot länderna Uganda och Tanzania, vars regeringar under 2010-talet öppet diskriminerat, förföljt och föreslagit hårdare lagstiftning för hbtq-personer. När Sverige 2014 valde att frysa biståndet till Uganda till följd av den anti-homosexualitetslag, som innebar hårdare straff för hbtq-personer i landet, följde tydliga markeringar från svenskt regeringshåll.
