1. Predicting True Sepsis and Culture-positive Sepsis in Intensive Care Unit with Machine Learning Techniques
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistikSammanfattning : Sepsis, a serious medical condition often leading to patients requiring intensive care, has prompted numerous scientists to employ mathematical techniques to aid in its diagnosis. This thesis uses logistic regression and a machine learning technique, XGBoost, to predict true sepsis (as opposed to sepsis mimics) and culture-positive sepsis (among true sepsis) in critical care using blood test results, physiological measurements and other patient characteristics. 2. Designing micro exertion game for 2-minute active breaks with ML-agent-based skeletal tracking act the Godot Engine
Kandidat-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskapSammanfattning : This thesis presents the design and development of an innovative exergame aimed atcombating the adverse effects of sedentary lifestyles, particularly prevalent among officeworkers and gamers. The game, built using the open-source Godot game engine andGoogle's MediaPipe machine learning framework, utilizes motion capture technology totranslate real-world player movements into in-game actions. 3. Automatic event detection oncontinuous glucose datausing neural networks
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)Sammanfattning : Automatically detecting events for people with diabetes mellitus using continuousglucose monitors is an important step in allowing insulin pumps to automaticallycorrect the blood glucose levels and for a more hands-off approach to thedisease. The automatic detection of events could also aid physicians whenassisting their patients when referring to their continuous glucose monitordata. LÄS MER
4. Testing Coagulation Potential of Extracellular Vesicles Derived from Aortic Stenosis Patients on Human Cardiac Spheroids
L2-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för medicinsk biokemi och mikrobiologiSammanfattning : Cardiovascular diseases have always been the leading cause of global morbidity and mortality. Aortic stenosis, which is a kind of cardiovascular disease has a high prevalence in elderlies that are 75 years and older. Currently, the only available treatment would be valve replacement surgery. 5. Reconstruction of Accelerated Cardiovascular MRI data
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Statistik och maskininlärningSammanfattning : Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), is a noninvasive medical imaging testing techniquewhich is used to produce detailed images of internal structure of the human body, includingbones, muscles, organs, and blood vessels. MRI scanners use large magnets and radiowaves to create images of the body. LÄS MER
