    Sammanfattning : UNPROFOR, den FN-ledda fredsbevarande insatsen i forna Jugoslavien, kan i dag sessom ineffektiv och oändamålsenligt utformad, eller till och med misslyckad, på grundav byråkratiska problem och en ovilja att frångå klassiskt fredsbevarande, vilketförutsätter existerande fred att bevara. This thesis analyses how the OHR has contributed to the reconciliation process in Bosnia and Herzegovina by looking at academic articles, information from local actors, analysing the local debate and semistructured interviews within the international community in BiH.
