  1. 1. Brunifiering av akvatiska ekosystem: En experimentell studie som undersöker tröskelvärde för predator- och bytesförhållande vid en gradient från klart till brunt vatten

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för miljö- och klimatvetenskap (CEC)

    Författare :Erik Nilsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Brunifiering; tröskelvärde; födointag; predator- och bytesförhållande; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Browning of water has increased over the last couple of decades on the northern hemisphere. Research show that possible drivers for this change are land use change, climate change, increased precipitation and increased temperatures. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Changes in July albedo and its relationship with EVI over the last two decades in the Swedish alpine region

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Vera Grönvik Hende; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Shortwave albedo; Enhanced Vegetation Index EVI ; Alpine vegetation; Scandes; Surface albedo feedback; MODIS; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Vegetation in the subarctic is expected to respond to climate warming as its growth becomes less temperature limited. This has previously been recorded in the form of treeline advances and increasing shrub cover. Changes in vegetation cover may accelerate warming due to a decrease in summer albedo, in what is termed surface albedo feedback. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Kalknings påverkan och brunifiering av ytvatten i Västra Götalands län, Sverige : Drivande faktorer och trender

    Kandidat-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskap

    Författare :Hanna Andersson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Brownification; Surface waters; Acid deposition; Liming;

    Sammanfattning : For more than 45 years an extensive liming measure has taken place in the southwest of Sweden in Västra Götaland county. The goal with the liming is to improve the aquatic ecosystems and counteract the acidification that has occurred in a large part of catchments in this area. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Modelling the Effects of Climate Change on Future DOC Export to Lake Mälaren Using a Generalized Watershed Loading Functions (GWLF) Model

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Klara Lindqvist; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Hydrology; DOC; browning; climate change; drinking water production; Mälaren; Hydrologi; DOC; brunifiering; klimatförändringar; dricksvattenproduktion; Mälaren;

    Sammanfattning : Browning of boreal freshwaters due to an increased export of terrestrial dissolved organic carbon (DOC) has been observed for some decennia. Drivers include recovery from acid deposition and changing climate and land cover. LÄS MER

  5. 5. How brownification and eutrophication effects a drinking water source – with Lake Bolmen, Sweden, in focus

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Miljövetenskaplig utbildning; Lunds universitet/Centrum för miljö- och klimatvetenskap (CEC)

    Författare :Stina Stomberg; [2022]
    Nyckelord :brownification; eutrophication effects; drinking water; phytoplankton; Lake Bolmen; mesocosm; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The ongoing human impact in form of deforestation, urbanization and intense agriculture is affecting the natural hydrology and our freshwater lakes negatively. Both eutrophication and brownification has seen to increase with the ongoing environmental change which can potentially have large impact on our freshwater ecosystems. LÄS MER
