  1. 1. Silver Mineralogy and Modes of Occurrence at the Silver Hart Deposit, South East Yukon.

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Michael Ives-Ruyter; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Canada; Yukon; silver; lead; zinc; galena; sulfosalt; sulfur isotope;

    Sammanfattning : The Silver Hart property is a high grade silver-lead-zinc deposit consisting of polymetallic vein style, manto (carbonate replacement) style, and skarn type mineralization. Host rock consists of calcareous and non-calcareous sediments of the Cassiar Platform, mainly biotite schists, limestone units, and the monzogranite unit of the Cassiar Batholith. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Oolites from the Arabian platform: Archives for the aftermath of the end-Triassic mass extinction

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Johannes Greiff; [2021]
    Nyckelord :sedimentology; carbonates; geochemistry; oolites; ooids; thrombolites; microbialites; Triassic; Jurassic; Hettangian; extinction; United Arab Emirates; Wadi Ghalilah; Wadi Milaha; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The end-Triassic mass extinction (ETME) which occurred around 201 Ma is known as one of “the big five” mass extinction events of the Phanerozoic eon. Its effects were most severe on marine ecosystems, resulting in a global decline of invertebrate taxa and the complete extinction of the conodonts. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Carbonate sedimentology and carbon isotope stratigraphy of the Tallbacken-1 core, early Wenlock Slite Group, Gotland, Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Jan Radomski; [2018]
    Nyckelord :Silurian; Gotland; Wenlock; carbon isotope stratigraphy; Slite Group; Hangvar Formation; sea level; carbonate platform; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Den mer än 700 m mäktiga lagerföljden på Gotland är erosionsresterna av vidsträckta karbonatplattformar som bildades i den Baltiska bassängen under silurperioden. Detta arbete fokuserar på stratigrafin och bergarterna i borrkärnan Tallbacken-1 som togs upp vid Stora Vede av Sveriges geologiska undersökning år 2006. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Size and Abundance of Late Pleistocene Reticulofenestrid Coccoliths from the Eastern Indian Ocean in Relation to Temperature and Aridity

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Jeroen van Dijk; [2017]
    Nyckelord :coccoliths; abundance; biometry; circular polarized light microscopy; Late Pleistocene; Marine Isotope Stage 11; kokkoliter; mängder; biometri; cirkulär polariserat ljus; pleistocen; Marine Isotope Stage 11;

    Sammanfattning : Measurements on coccolith abundance and mass can be used as a signal of primary productivity and pelagic calcification in response to environmental change. The Leeuwin Current (LC) is known to transport warm and low-salinity waters from the Indo-Pacific Warm Pool (IPWP) southwards along the coast of West Australia. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The first study of the micro-fauna of middle Cambrian olistoliths in the Argentine Precordillera

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Elise Fahlgren; Maria Tranvik; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Olistolith; Burgess Shale-type preservation; middle Cambrian; Precordillera; Micropaleontology;

    Sammanfattning : This study implies a survey of a somewhat unexplored Cambrian carbonate formation in the Argentine Precordillera (AP) located in western Argentina, close to the city of San José de Jáchal. The carbonate platform of the AP is a unique piece of the South American geology and is in this study partly surveyed and compared with the Stephen Formation of northern Canada, a middle Cambrian unit renowned for its contents of exceptionally well preserved soft bodied fossils named the Burgess Shale biota.
