    Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this thesis is to examine how Swedish party leaders from the three biggest parties talk about the collective identities “women” and “immigrants” in their 2016 speeches from “Almedalsveckan”, the main political event in Sweden. By relating and contrasting these two groupings towards each other, I will also scrutinise whether an exclusion of “immigrant women” takes place. LÄS MER

Central for this essay's framework is postcolonial feminism pursuantly the understanding of Chandra Talpade Mohanty, as well as a critical approach to a western perspective on gender equality development as linear, according to the understanding of Sarah Katherine Van Walsum and Thomas Spijkerboer among others.
