1. The Sound of Skepticism Analyzing Climate Change Denial in Swedish Podcasts and YouTube Channels
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / / Institutionen för sociologi och arbetsvetenskapSammanfattning : This study explores Sweden's climate change denial by analyzing the spoken-word discourse of its countermovement, focusing on digital media content from Swedish parliament member Elsa Widding with an aim to provide empirical insights into the discourse of Sweden's Climate Change Countermovement (CCCM). Questions guiding this study are: What are the most prevalent topics and themes related to climate change denial and skepticism? How do they align with established categories of climate change denial, shaping the overall narrative? What mobilizing ideas and meanings are present, how are they shaped, and how do they contribute to the movement's goals? The material consists of Elsa Widding's complete audio-based "movement texts'' from 2019-2023, including YouTube content, podcasts, and appearances on Riks, totaling over 2000 minutes of audio transcribed into text via AI technology. 2. Dagens och morgondagens hållbara landskapsarkitektur : klimatberäkning som vägvisare i designprocessen
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management (from 130101)Sammanfattning : I dag är behovet av att hitta lösningar på klimatfrågan mer brådskande än någonsin och frågan kring hur vi ska rädda klimatet är en av de största i vår samtid. Senast 2045 ska Sverige inte ha några nettoutsläpp av växthusgaser. LÄS MER
3. Assessment of Climate Change Impact on Rainfed Barley Production in the Mediterranean Basin : The Almeria province case study
Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : The Mediterranean basin is widely recognized as a climate change hotspot, with climate models projecting increasingly warmer and drier conditions that will impact local ecosystems, communities, and economies. Agriculture will be among the most affected sectors, with harsher conditions for crops’ growth, greater water needs, and lower yields. LÄS MER
4. Improvement of anautomatic networkdrawing algorithm in thecontext of utility networks
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : The European Union’s ambitious climate targets necessitate substantial reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, particularly within the heating and cooling sector, which accounts for a significant portion of energy consumption. District Heating and Cooling (DHC) systems emerge as a key solution for decarbonizing this sector by enabling high efficiency heat production and the integration of renewable and carbon-neutral energy sources. 5. Exploring Urban Land Cover Changes and the Effect on Nocturnal Air Temperature Dynamics in Helsingborg - A temperature modeling made with TAPM
Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : In light of increasing global temperatures, urban areas face growing challenges related to heat stress. Alterations in land cover (LC) within cities contribute to changes in the intra-urban climate, predominantly driven by the replacement of vegetated surfaces with impermeable materials. LÄS MER
