1. Integrating Waste Heat from Hydrogen Production Into District Heating
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för energivetenskaperSammanfattning : The aim of this research is to explore the feasibility of the integration of waste heat from electrolyzers within a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant and district heating (DH) network and suggest a practical setup for integration. With the escalating emphasis on the development of green hydrogen through electrolysis powered by renewable energy, a substantial amount of waste heat is generated, typically left unused. LÄS MER
2. Methodology for Stored Heat “Heat In Place” (HIP) assessment of geothermal aquifers – Exemplified by a study of the Arnager Greensand in SW Scania
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionenSammanfattning : In the sedimentary bedrock of southwest Scania, located in the southernmost part of Sweden, there are several low-enthalpy Mesozoic sandstone aquifers situated at different depths. These aquifers collectively hold the potential for direct-heat geothermal utilization. LÄS MER
3. Methodology for Designing Bespoke Air Handling Units
Master-uppsats, KTH/EnergiteknikSammanfattning : This master's thesis explores the role of bespoke air handling units in enhancing energy efficiency in existing buildings. The context for the study is set against the backdrop of global initiatives, including the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 7, which emphasizes the need to improve energy efficiency to combat climate change. 4. Effects of Energy Performance Improving Measures on a 1990's Brick House in Southern Czech Republic : Computer Simulations using IDA-ICE
Magister-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Energisystem och byggnadsteknikSammanfattning : The residential sector was responsible for 25% of the Final Energy Demand (FED) in the European Union in 2015. Countries in Central and Eastern Europe such as the Czech Republic are particularly concerned with ensuring security of supply at the lowest possible cost in recent years. LÄS MER
5. Using a GIS to enable an economic, land use and energy output comparison between small wind powered turbines and large-scale wind farms: the case of Oslo, Norway.
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Responding to an identified knowledge gap, the study aims to determine if smaller wind turbines located on top of existing urban buildings are more resource efficient (land utilization and economically) than large scale wind farms. To answer this question, using a GIS, the resource efficiency of the Roan wind farm in Northern Norway was compared to a theoretical modeled installation of small-scale wind turbines on top of buildings within a 2km radius study zone in central Oslo.
