Det resulterar i att hela naturområdet kring sjöarna Västra och Östra Styran blir svårtillgängligt. Jag har velat utnyttja det svårtillgängliga genom att planera för en plats som vänder sig mot sig själv, och bort från omgivningen, för att skapa en eskapism. LÄS MER
2. Looking for Belonging: Ruptures and Ligaments : A Study of Biographic Narratives of Asylum-Seeking Persons in Europe
Master-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Institutionen för globala politiska studier (GPS)Sammanfattning : This project deals with the experiences of asylum-seeking persons in their struggle to receive protection in different European countries, exploring how the sense of belonging is shaped during fragmented migration journeys. Conducting biographic-narrative interviews with five persons I met while working in a community centre in Greece, the research shifts the gaze from exclusionary citizenship regimes to migrant agency, revealing the distinct tactics, perceptions and performances of belonging on the move. 3. Designing Hope and Resilience : The Architecture Students ́ Role in Improving Living Conditions for Displaced Communities in Turkey
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Arkitekthögskolan vid Umeå universitetSammanfattning : This thesis aims to depict Syrian refugees' detrimental livelihoods in the area of Izmir, Turkey and to through mapping, prototyping building and analysing two live projects - developed using a combination of Participatory Action Research and Design Thinking - provide examples on how architects and architecture students can work within the field of displacement. The projects are in two different contexts and have been carried out by students at Umeå School of Architecture, including the authors of this paper. LÄS MER
4. Sorunda Brandstation
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/ArkitekturSammanfattning : Projektet är syftar till att bygga en ny hybridbyggnad innehållandes en brandstation i Sorunda i Nynäshamns kommun med förbättrade förutsättningar för en effektivare verksamhet, samt ökad kvalitet på tillvaron mellan utryckningar, med bland annat en idrottshall, ett gym, ett café, samt en större boendedel i brandstationen. Projektet ämnar även att framhäva den centrala plats i orten brandstation befinner sig på, precis mellan den historiskt viktigaste mittpunkten, kyrkan, och den idag tydligaste mötesplatsen, Coopbutiken med apotek- post- och systembolagsombud, och verka som en samlingsplats i Sorunda, och bilda ett tydligt centrumstråk genom orten med tre tydliga institutioner. Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/ArkitekturSammanfattning : This project focuses on making a “Folkets hus”, a form of community centre available for its surrounding inhabitants to express their identities and experience different cultures, these buildings usually contain libraries, theatre, restaurants, art centre, educational spaces, a child section and more. The city chosen for this project was Arboga, a small old industrial town from the 13th century a few miles west about Eskilstuna. LÄS MER
