  2. 2. Using discrete-event simulation to enable implementation of picking and palletizing robots: A case study

    Master-uppsats, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Författare :Maja Kfouri; Adan Reimers; [2023]
    Nyckelord :DES; Palletizer robot; Internal logistics; Goods-receipt; KPI; OEE;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The study aims to develop a DES model to evaluate the impacts of implementing packaging and palletizing robotics in the goods-receipts process. Research questions: RQ1: “What are the requirements when developing a Discrete Event Simulation (DES) model of the goods receipt process in the internal logistics section of a manufacturing company?”, RQ2: “What is the impact of implementing a new layout with industrial palletizer robotics in manufacturing companies' internal logistics - specifically the goods receipt process in terms of robot Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), throughput, and WIP?” and, RQ3: “What considerations should companies take into account when implementing industrial palletizer robotics in their internal logistics, in terms of process flow?” Methodology: This study applied an inductive approach, letting the empirical findings guide the themes explored in the theoretical framework while having a constant interplay between empirical data collection and the construction of the simulation model. 3. 3. Real-Time Continuous Euclidean Distance Fields for Large Indoor Environments

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Erik Warberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Room segmentation; Gaussian processes; Euclidean distance fields; mapping; line segment detection; mobile robots; spectral clustering; Rumssegmentering; Gaussiska processer; Euklidiska avståndsfält; kartläggning; detektering av linjesegment; mobila robotar; spektral klustring;

    Sammanfattning : Real-time spatial awareness is essential in areas such as robotics and autonomous navigation. However, as environments expand and become increasingly complex, maintaining both a low computational load and high mapping accuracy remains a significant challenge. LÄS MER

  4. 4. EVALUATION OF THE USE OF EXOSKELETONS WHILE PERFORMING DIFFERENT TASKS OF INDUSTRIAL WORKERS

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Avdelningen för elektroteknik, matematik och naturvetenskap

    Författare :Abida Sultana Urmi; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Exoskeleton; Sensor; EMG; Efficiency; Statistic;

    Sammanfattning : Robotic exoskeleton technologies are one of the most active fields of robotics in recent years. Exoskeleton systems can give essential support for limb motions with enhanced strength and endurance, and they have a wide variety of therapeutic and supportive utility in life. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Grundläggningsmetoder för 3D-printade betonghus

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Byggteknik och design

    Författare :Emelie Östberg; Fabian Rensgard Platte; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Housing is an important part of society and new houses are built daily. There are clear standards on how buildings should be constructed and designed, but when new technologies arrive and robotics becomes a larger part of society, the construction industry must also adapt.
