1. The design of a hydraulic equalizer bar for the feeding mechanism on forest harvester heads
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematikSammanfattning : Due to the importance of a correct tree placement and the wear that occurs to equalizer bars inharvester heads, Komatsu Forest AB in Umeå was interested if the bar could be replaced with ahydraulic system. According to Komatsu, the problems were that the equalizer bars that are responsible forsynchronizing the delimbing knives and feeding mechanism add weight, take up space and have atendency to break before their life expectancy. 2. Constraining the Higgs width in Higgs production associated with a top quark pair
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : In this thesis we study the width of the Higgs boson in the process pp → t ̄t 4l at LO using MadGraph5_aMC@NLO to generate the events. The contributions including the Higgs signal, continuum background and interference were considered in order to calculate the expected number of events in a broad range of four-lepton invariant masses. 3. Approximating Damping Coefficient of Bolted Joints using the Finite Element Method
Master-uppsats, KTH/HållfasthetsläraSammanfattning : Bolted joints are important due to their energy dissipation property in structures, but the damping mechanism is also highly nonlinear and localized. The goal ofthis thesis is to develop an accurate method for modeling bolted joint dampingin large structures using finite element (FE) software. LÄS MER
4. Design of a test rig for in situ hydrogen charging of rolling element bearings under load
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/MaskinelementSammanfattning : This Master's thesis is part of the Hydrogen Embrittlement in Rolling element bearings project (HERo) initiated at Luleå University of Technology (LTU), with the primary objective of determining critical hydrogen concentrations in bearing steel for rolling element bearings. The specific aim of this Master's thesis is to design a test rig that enables the investigation of the effects of hydrogen embrittlement on rolling element bearings under load. LÄS MER
5. A numerical comparison of the thermoacoustics for different equivalence ratios for n-dodecane using LES
