    Sammanfattning : Non photochemical quenching (NPQ) is an important way for plants to protect themselves from photooxidative damage. In higher plants, the major and most rapid part of NPQ is qE, which is controlled by the Violaxanthin de-epoxidase (VDE) and zeaxanthin epoxidase (ZE).
