    Sammanfattning : The thesis is proposing a method to perceive the cinematic space as a body in motion. The foundation for such an experimental method is traced within the investigation of the movement in the study of the motion picture, as well as in a phenomenological approach to dance, and in selected theories from the continental philosophy of the 20th century.     Sammanfattning : Through a comparative case study of Trisha Browns choreographies Floor of the Forest (1970) and Accumulation (1971), presented in a visual arts context in the 1970's and in the 2000's, this paper traces how performative aspects of Browns work has changed over time.  Floor of the Forest and Accumulation are analyzed through Erika Fischer-Lichte's theory of performativity in performance and the performing arts.
