  1. 1. Dispersion Trading: A Way to Hedge Vega Risk in Index Options

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Författare :Albin Irell Fridlund; Johanna Heberlein; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Dispersion Trading; Volatility Trading; Volatility Hedging; Vega Hedging; Option Trading; Back-testing; Liquidity provider; OMXS30 options; Index options; Spridningshandel; Volitilitetshandel; Volitilitetssäkring; Vega säkring; Optionshandel; Back-testing; Likviditetgivare; OMXS30 optioner; Index optioner;

    Sammanfattning : Since the introduction of derivatives to the financial markets, volatility trading has emerged as a method for investors to make money in every market condition. In parallel with introducing derivatives to the financial markets, hedging methods have emerged and are today essential instruments for the liquidity providers active in the markets. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The Predictive Power of Implied Volatility in Option Pricing

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Matematisk statistik

    Författare :Lovisa Berglund; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Option Pricing; Black-Scholes; Finance; Implied Volatility; Applied Mathematics; Machine Learning; Optionsprissättning; Black-Scholes; Finans; Implicit Volatilitet; Tillämpad Matematik; Maskininlärning;

    Sammanfattning : During the last few years, financial derivatives have been growing in trading volume. There seem to be a high demand and supply of derivatives on the market and one common derivative is the option contract. The option contract is frequently the subject of studies and many different pricing models have been created for options. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Differential Deep Learning for Pricing Exotic Financial Derivatives

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Erik Alexander Aslaksen Jonasson; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Deep Learning; Exotic Derivatives; Differential Machine Learning;

    Sammanfattning : Calculating the value of a financial derivative is a central problem in quantitative finance. For many exotic derivatives there are no closed-form solutions for present values, instead, computationally expensive Monte Carlo methods are used for valuation. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Pricing Complex derivatives under the Heston model

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Författare :Omar Naim; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Stochastic volatility Model; Heston Model; Calibration; Financial derivatives; Stokastisk volatilitetsmodell; Heston modell; kalibrering; finansiella derivat;

    Sammanfattning : The calibration of model parameters is a crucial step in the process of valuation of complex derivatives. It consists of choosing the model parameters that correspond to the implied market data especially the call and put prices. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Efficient Monte Carlo Simulation for Counterparty Credit Risk Modeling

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematisk statistik

    Författare :Sam Johansson; [2019]
    Nyckelord :CCR; OTC derivatives; European option; Bermudan option; CVA; jump-diffusion model; stochastic intensity model; Monte Carlo; variance reduction; importance sampling; least squares Monte Carlo; CCR; OTC-derivat; europeisk option; Bermuda-option; CVA; jump-diffusion-modell; stokastisk intensitetsmodell; Monte Carlo; variansreduktion; importance sampling; least squares Monte Carlo;

    Sammanfattning : In this paper, Monte Carlo simulation for CCR (Counterparty Credit Risk) modeling is investigated. A jump-diffusion model, Bates' model, is used to describe the price process of an asset, and the counterparty default probability is described by a stochastic intensity model with constant intensity.
