    Sammanfattning : This paper examines peat that was discovered next to a skeleton dug out in wetlands next to lake Bokaren in Uppland, Sweden, in 2015. The skeleton was that of a man from the Roman Iron Age. It was found in fen peat, where soft tissue decomposes but bones are often well preserved. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Stable isotope compositions (δ18 0 and δ13 C) and cathodoluminescence characteristics were determined in 112 belemnite rostra, including Belemnellocamax grossouvrei, Belemnitella alpha, Belemnellocamax mammillatus, Belemnellocamax balsvikensis, Gonioteuthis quadrata scaniensis, Belemnitella mucronata and Belemnella lanceolata. The main aims were to determine palaeoenvironmental and diagenetic influences on the fossil tissue, and to discuss the marine palaeotemperatures during Late Cretaceous times. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This investigation examines the distribution of conodont elements in the Early to early Middle Ordovician Latorpian, Volkhovian, Kundan and Aserian stages of the Tamsalu drill core in central Estonia. Slightly more than 24, 600 conodont elements from 17 samples were examined, and the biostratigraphic results were compared to previous works on conodont biostratigraphy from localities in Estonia, Russia and Öland, Sweden.
