  1. 1. Maybe meat, maybe not? Analysing Swedish consumers’ preferences for plant-based meat alternatives

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Department of Molecular Sciences

    Författare :Emilia Mattsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :willingness to pay; plant-based meat alternatives; discrete choice experiment; random utility theory; consumer behaviour;

    Sammanfattning : Plant-based meat alternatives (PBMAs) have grown in both demand and diversified supply. As follows, there has recently been an increase in research studying consumers' behaviour towards these products. This thesis aimed to add to the growing literature by analysing Swedish consumers' preferences for PBMAs. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Feeding Live or Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae (Hermetia illucens) to laying hens – Effects on Immune Traits, Egg Quality, Feather Condition, Body and Organ Weights

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Nutrition and Management

    Författare :Adnan Aslam; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Black soldier fly; live larvae; dried larvae; immune response; egg quality; body weight; feather condition scoring;

    Sammanfattning : Due to increasing prices and potential scarcity of soybean meal (SBM), there is growing demand for alternative and sustainable protein sources in poultry production. Black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) have proven to be a suitable alternative based on nutritional value and sustainable production. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Perceived influences on diet and physical activity among women in socioeconomically disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Uppsala, Sweden: A qualitative study

  4. 4. Applying the Theory of Planned Behaviour to Predict the Consumption of Meat Analogues

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Graduate School

    Författare :Alexej Mikus; Milena Conny Annika Desch; [2022-08-04]
    Nyckelord :Theory of Planned Behaviour TPB ; meat analogues; perceived sensory attributes; food curiosity; brand trust; consumer intention; consumer behaviour; sustainable consumption; food consumption; confirmatory factor analysis; structural equation modelling; binary logistic regression;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing trend to consciously reduce meat consumption is accompanied by a strong growth in the supply and demand of meat analogue products. This study aims to predict the consumer intention to consume plant-based meat analogues based on an extension of Ajzen’s (1991) theory of planned behaviour (TPB) with the four factors: perceived sensory attributes, brand trust, food curiosity, and socio-demographic characteristics and lifestyle determinants. 5. 5. Utfodring av katter i Sverige : samband mellan utfodring och övervikt respektive utfodring och problembeteenden hos katten

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, SLU/Dept. of Animal Environment and Health

    Författare :Daniela Larsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :torrfoder; våtfoder; fri tillgång; body condition score; BCS; hull; problembeteenden;

    Sammanfattning : Övervikt är ett ökande problem hos våra sällskapsdjur. Att bedöma hull hos katter är precis som för andra sällskapsdjur en utmaning. Användandet av en hullbedömningsskala så som Body Condition Score (BCS) är ett värdefullt hjälpmedel för att på ett mer objektivt sätt bedöma en katts hull. LÄS MER
