1. Low–voltage External Discharge Plasma Thruster and Hollow Cathodes Plasma Plume Diagnostics Utilising Electrostatic Probes and Retarding Potential Analyser
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/RymdteknikSammanfattning : The present thesis is the result of a research period at the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science of the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency, ISAS/JAXA within Funaki Laboratory of the Department of Space Flight Systems that followed the path of plume plasma diagnostics for space electric propulsion drives. During the experimental studies two high-current hollow cathodes and an innovative prototype of a low-voltage fully external discharge plasma thruster (XPT) had their plasma plumes diagnosed using electrostatic probes and retarding potential analyser (RPA). 2. Design and Characterisation of A SynchronousCo-Axuak Double Magnetron Sputtering System
Master-uppsats, Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologiSammanfattning : High power impulse magnetron sputtering (HiPIMS) is a novel pulsed power technique. In HiPIMS, high power pulses are applied to the target for short duration with a low duty factor. LÄS MER
3. Dynamics of the Current-Voltage Characteristic and the Potential in a Triple Plasma Machine
Master-uppsats, KTH/Alfvénlaboratoriet; KTH/Rymd- och plasmafysikSammanfattning : A model for the static current voltage characteristic of a thin collisionless plasma inwich an electrical double layer is present is used for simulating the behaviour of anelectrical circuit in wich the plasma is a component. The numerical results thusobtained are compared to experimental results and found to be quite accurate forlow frequencies and amplitudes. LÄS MER
