  1. 1. The Impact of Parental Education on the Early Detection of Autism Spectrum Disorder in Children.

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Nationalekonomiska institutionen

    Författare :Farahim Suleymanli; [2023]
    Nyckelord :ASD; DML; PLR; IRM; early detection; parental education; causal inference; Business and Economics;

    Sammanfattning : Utilizing the Double Machine Learning (DML) framework with both Partially Linear Regression (PLR) and Interactive Regression Models (IRM), this study examined the crucial role of parental education in the early detection of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Analysis was conducted on comprehensive data from the National Survey of Children's Health spanning the years 2017 to 2021. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Fault Detection and Diagnosis for Automotive Camera using Unsupervised Learning

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Ziyou Li; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Unsupervised Learning; Autoencoders; Image Clustering; Fault Detection and Diagnosis; Morphological Operations; Hardware-in-Loop; Advanced DriverAssistance System; Oövervakad inlärning; Autoencoders; Bildklustering; Felfindning och Diagnostik; Morfologiska Operationer; Hardware-in-Loop; Avancerade Förarassistanssystem;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to investigate a fault detection and diagnosis system for automotive cameras using unsupervised learning. 1) Can a front-looking wide-angle camera image dataset be created using Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) simulations? 2) Can an Adversarial Autoencoder (AAE) based unsupervised camera fault detection and diagnosis method be crafted for SPA2 Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) using an image dataset created using Hardware-inLoop? 3) Does using AAE surpass the performance of using Variational Autoencoder (VAE) for the unsupervised automotive camera fault diagnosis model? In the field of camera fault studies, automotive cameras stand out for its complex operational context, particularly in Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) applications. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Machine learning for automatic grading of knee osteoarthritis from X-ray radiographs

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Avdelningen Vi3

    Författare :Ellen Siggstedt; [2023]
    Nyckelord :machine learning; knee osteoarthritis; image analysis; deep learning; X-ray; neural networks;

    Sammanfattning : Knee osteoarthritis is a growing problem due to increasing risk factors such as age and obesity. It is a common task for a radiologist to grade osteoarthritis in three compartments (medial tibiofemoral (MTF), lateral tibiofemoral (LTF) and patellofemoral (PF)) in a knee from different image views of X-ray images, to decide if osteoarthritis is the cause of pain for the patient. 4. 4. A Longitudinal Perspective on the Implications of the Impaired Fasting Glucose Threshold for Identifying Individuals at Risk of Developing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

    Magister-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för folkhälso- och vårdvetenskap

    Författare :Philip Richard Evans; Konstantina Andersen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Type 2 diabetes mellitus; fasting plasma glucose; impaired fasting glucose; longitudinal trajectory; incidence rate;

    Sammanfattning : Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a global health concern affecting six to ten percent of adults worldwide, with the number of diagnosed individuals projected to double in the next 25 years. However, effective public health strategies can help mitigate its impact on quality of life, morbidity, mortality and the associated social and economic burden. LÄS MER

  5. 5. "Ett misslyckande i kvarten" - En kvalitativ studie om hur kvinnor med ADHD upplever sin vardag och sina sociala relationer

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Socialhögskolan

    Författare :Lorena Sierra Gustavsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder; Adult Women; Gender Studies; Stigma; Social Constructionism; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Women with ADHD are statistically diagnosed later in life than men. Previous studies have shown that girls and women with neuropsychiatric disabilities tend to hide their symptoms to appear normative. It is discussed that girls may be judged harder than boys for expressing some of the common ADHD-symptoms due to stereotypical gender norms. LÄS MER
