1. Station-level demand prediction in bike-sharing systems through machine learning and deep learning methods
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Public Bike-Sharing systems have been employed in many cities around the globe. Shared bikes are an efficient and convenient means of transportation in advanced societies. Nonetheless, station planning and local bike-sharing network effectiveness can be challenging. LÄS MER
2. Evaluation of Swedish daylight regulations in university building - Validation and applicability
Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Daylight availability in buildings faces numerous challenges in a world where energy efficiency, thermal comfort, and sustainability take center stage. Daylight is well-known for its role in reducingartificial lighting consumption and enhancing the well-being and performance of building occupants. LÄS MER
3. Variational AutoEncoders and Differential Privacy : balancing data synthesis and privacy constraints
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the effectiveness of Tabular Variational Auto Encoders (TVAEs) in generating high-quality synthetic tabular data and assesses their compliance with differential privacy principles. The study shows that while TVAEs are better than VAEs at generating synthetic data that faithfully reproduces the distribution of real data as measured by the Synthetic Data Vault (SDV) metrics, the latter does not guarantee that the synthetic data is up to the task in practical industrial applications. 4. Potential and Limitations of the Sketch Map Tool in the International Red Cross Red Crescent Movement
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Riskhantering och SamhällssäkerhetSammanfattning : In disaster risk management, participatory mapping (PM) closes spatial data gaps in communities by integrating local risk knowledge. The thesis examined the potential and limitations of the Sketch Map Tool (SMT) as a PM tool for community-based disaster risk reduction (DRR) through an International Red Cross Red Crescent Movement case study. 5. Mutual Enhancement of Environment Recognition and Semantic Segmentation in Indoor Environment
Master-uppsats,Sammanfattning : Background:The dynamic field of computer vision and artificial intelligence has continually evolved, pushing the boundaries in areas like semantic segmentation andenvironmental recognition, pivotal for indoor scene analysis. This research investigates the integration of these two technologies, examining their synergy and implicayions for enhancing indoor scene understanding. LÄS MER
