16. Manikin Time; Development of the Virtual Manikin with External Root and Improved Inverse Kinematics
Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för matematiska vetenskaperSammanfattning : Simulating manual assembly operations considering ergonomic load and clearance demands requires detailed modeling of human body kinematics and motions, as well as a tight coupling to powerful algorithms for collision-free path planning. The focus in this thesis is kinematics including balance and contact forces, and ergonomically preferable motions in free space. LÄS MER
17. Effector vector design in the Phytophthora infestans-potato pathosystem
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Plant Biology and Forest Genetics (until 131231)Sammanfattning : The oomycete pathogen Phytophthora infestans is the causal agent of the devastating plant disease late blight on potato. Diverse type of transposons and many gene families are present in the genome which encodes the effector proteins involved in causing the pathogenicity. LÄS MER
18. Troubleshooting the GFP-tagging gene knockout (GGKO) method for the Leptosphaeria maculans effectors AvrLm6 and AvrLm4-7
Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Plant Biology and Forest Genetics (until 131231)Sammanfattning : An attempt was made to GFP-tag the effector proteins of AvrLm6 and AvrLm4-7 using the GFP-tagging gene knockout method (GGKO) developed by Saitoh et al. (2008) in order to determine whether or not they are secreted. Successful pETHG-(target)KO vectors were not generated. The protocol was examined for potential errors. LÄS MER
19. Studies of potential effectors of myrosinase function
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Plant Biology and Forest Genetics (until 131231)Sammanfattning : Glucosinolates are sulphur and nitrogen containing secondary metabolites which are present in the order Brassicales. These compounds are hydrolysed by enzymes called myrosinases upon tissue damage and serve to protect plants against insects and pathogens. LÄS MER
20. Human platelet aggregation induced via protease-activated receptor 1 (PAR1)signaling is reversed by nitric oxide (NO) through inhibition of a Rho-kinase/ROCK-mediated pathway
Master-uppsats, Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologiSammanfattning : Human platelets are constantly regulated by activating and inhibitory effectors. Thrombin, the most potent platelet agonist, induces signaling through the protease-activated receptors(PARs) 1 and 4 which in turn convey their signal by coupling to G-proteins. LÄS MER
