  1. 1. Flexible Sector Coupling (FSC) of Electrical and Thermal Sectors via Thermal Energy Storage (TES) : A Case Study on Oskarshamn Energi

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Raúl Calvo García; Jose María Marín Arcos; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Flexible sector coupling FSC ; district heating DH ; thermal energy storage TES ; heat pump HP ; capacity optimization; dispatch optimization; open-access tools; Flexibel sektorkoppling; fjärrvärme; termisk energilagring; värmepump; kapacitetsoptimering; leveransoptimering; verktyg med öppen tillgång;

    Sammanfattning : The integration of distributed energy sources and systems is of high relevance for the transition towards a more sustainable energy system. Taking into consideration the  amount of emissions produced by the heating sector, which account for at least half of the energy demand in buildings, district heating systems have the potential to play a key role in the transition, by enabling the integration of various energy sources and provide flexible energy services to the grid. 2. 2. Battery Storage as Grid Reinforcement for Peak Power Demands

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Energisystem

    Författare :Jesper Hilleberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Battery Storage; Battery Energy Storage System; Grid Reinforcement; Flexibility; Lithium-ion battery; li-ion battery; Large Scale Grid Storage; BESS; Energy Storage; Peak Power Demand; Batterilagring; Batterilagringsystem; Nätförstärkning; Nätförstärkningsåtgärd; toppeffektlaster; Flexibilitet; Flexibilitetslösning; litiumjonbatteri; li-ion batteri; BESS; energilagring;

    Sammanfattning : An increased amount of intermittent electricity production, more electric vehicles (EV), and an overall electrification of society may all cause a higher variability between the balance of supply and demand on the electric grid. Battery storage has been identified as a solution to the emerging problem asit can be charged during hours of low power demand and then discharged to help meet the power demand during peak loads. Sammanfattning : Unique layered structure with excellent electrical, mechanical, thermal, and optical properties gives graphene widespread application. Graphene based materials are extensively studied in the field of energy storage such as batteries, hydrogen storage and supercapacitors (SC’s). LÄS MER

  5. 5. Designing a plug-and-go solution to expand the electric vehicle market

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Edvin Guery; [2020]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The transport sector stands for almost a quarter of the carbon emissions released into the atmosphereand is a sector where a lot of work remains to be done to mitigate climate change. To make a changequickly, the vehicles currently traveling the roads will need to be converted from internal combustionengine (ICE) driven vehicle to battery electric vehicles (BEV). LÄS MER
