  1. 1. Fytoöstrogener i rödklöver och dess effekter hos grisar och idisslare

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biosystems and Technology (from 130101)

    Författare :Desirée Kristiansson; Linda Larsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Rödklöver; fytoöstrogener; reproduktion; idisslare; suggor;

    Sammanfattning : Att ge grovfoder till grisar är positivt då det bidrar till sysselsättning och därmed minskad stress. Den grövre strukturen med fiber är bra för fodersmältningen och minskar därför även risken för magsår. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Isoflavone sources and bioavailability : biological effects of phytoestrogens in the diet

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Food Science

    Författare :Sara Gatchell; [2016]
    Nyckelord :phytoestrogens; isoflavones; legumes; soy; milk; equol; daidzein; genistein; formononentin; biochanin A; content; hormone induced cancer; cardiovascular disease;

    Sammanfattning : Over the last couple of decades non-nutritional bioactive compounds from plants and their biological effects have received attention. Phytoestrogens, also called “plant estrogens”, with their similar structure to estradiol, act with estrogenic effects when imbibed. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Inverkan av foders växtöstrogener på fysiologiska processer hos produktions- och sällskapsdjur

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry

    Författare :Anna Karlsson; [2009]
    Nyckelord :Växtöstrogener; Produktionsdjur; Sällskapsdjur;

    Sammanfattning : Phytoestrogens are secondary metabolites produced by plants. Among the plants that make phytoestrogens are soya, red clover and some types of grass. The name phytoestrogen is a collective term for compounds such as genistein, daidzein, biochanin A and formononetin. These compounds are similar to oestradiol-17β in their chemical structure. 4. 4. Use of soy isoflavones as alternative to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for women in menopause

    L3-uppsats, SLU/Horticulture

    Författare :Jenny Edefuhr; [2007]
    Nyckelord :isoflavone; phytoestrogen; daidzein; genistein; equol; soy; supplements; estrogen receptors; menopause;

    Sammanfattning : The loss of estrogen following menopause can have several effects, including reduction of bone mass, menopausal symptoms, such as hot flushes, decreased cognitive function, vaginal atrophy, and hypercholesterolemia. Traditional treatment of menopausal symptoms using hormone replacement therapy is associated with an increased risk of breast- and endometrial cancer, as well as an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
