  1. 6. Non-Conformity Management in a CENELEC Governed Project : Digital and Integrated Systems (D&IS), Alstom

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Transportplanering

    Författare :Nitin Jois; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Railway; Signalling; ERTMS; CENELEC; RequirementsEngineering; Requirements Change Management; SoftwareDevelopmentLife-CycleModels; ProcessOptimisation;

    Sammanfattning : In the mid-1990s, the European Union started to implement a union-wide,standardised signalling system, called European Rail Traffic Management System(ERTMS). This thesis has been developed alongside and targeted for a developmentproject such as the ERTMS system. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Artificial Intelligence applications for railway signalling

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Transportplanering

    Författare :Benjamin Smakic; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Artificial Intelligence; AI; Machine Learning; ML; Computer Vision; railway signalling; ERTMS level 3; GPS; autonomous train operations; Artificiell Intelligens; Maskininlärning; datorseende; signalteknik; autonoma tåg; självkörande tåg.;

    Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this Master Thesis is to investigate how front-facing, train-mounted cameras and Computer Vision, a type of Artificial Intelligence (AI), can be used to compensate for GPS inaccuracies. By using footage from track-recording cameras, Computer Vision can be utilized to determine the number of tracks and the track occupancy of the train, which would compensate GPS inaccuracies in the lateral positioning. 3. 8. Life Cycle Cost of Smart Wayside Object Controller

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Spårfordon

    Författare :Filipp Zarov; [2021]
    Nyckelord :railway signalling system; interlocking; hardware; Object Controller; Smart Wayside Object controller; Lifecycle Cost; renewable energy sources; järnvägssignalsystem; ställverk; hårdvara; Utdelar; SWOC; livscykelkostnad; förnybara energikällor;

    Sammanfattning : In a regional railway signalling system, object controllers are the devices responsible for controlling Track Side Equipment and act as interfaces for TSE with the interlocking computer and the Traffic control system. However, associated cabling (signal and power cabling) and civil works pose a major capital investment and it is a source of significant Capital and Operational expenses, particularly in rural areas, where accessibility andconnectivity to power grid and to the interlocking are a problem. 4. 9. Interoperability Study of the European and Chinese Railway Signalling Systems : Case study in Ethiopia

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Transportplanering

    Författare :Kebron Temedo Tana; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Chinese Train Control System; European Train Control System; European Rail Traffic Management System; Ethiopian Railway Corporation; Signalling; Chinese Train Control System; European Train Control System; European Rail Traffic Management System; Ethiopian Railway Corporation; Signalsystem;

    Sammanfattning : The railway industry in Ethiopia has been an important way of communication and transportation for a long time. It is a developing sector with many national plans for future investments. However, the current major corridors of Ethio-Djibouti and Awash-Weldiya have interoperability issues due to two different signalling systems being used. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Run-time Anomaly Detection with Process Mining: Methodology and Railway System Compliance Case-Study

    Magister-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för datavetenskap och medieteknik (DM)

    Författare :Francesco Vitale; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Anomaly Detection; Autonomous Maintenance; Cyber-Physical Systems; Internet of Things; Data science; Process science; Process Mining; Conformance Checking; ERTMS ETCS;

    Sammanfattning : Detecting anomalies in computer-based systems, including Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), has attracted a large interest recently. Behavioral anomalies represent deviations from what is regarded as the nominal expected behavior of the system. Both Process science and Data science can yield satisfactory results in detecting behavioral anomalies. LÄS MER
