  1. 21. Examining the link between productive vocabulary and the shape bias: An ERP study

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för psykologi

    Författare :Karen Arlock; [2011]
    Nyckelord :ERP; N400; vocabulary spurt; shape bias; pseudowords; toddlers; silhouette; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : It is during a child’s second year that the rate of word learning increases drastically and they start to pay more attention to the property of shape when categorizing new objects. The present study set out to investigate the relationship between productive vocabulary size and the shape bias when children learn novel words. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Electrophysiological correlates of generation induced forgetting: Manipulating retrieval success

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för psykologi

    Författare :Sofie Nilsson; [2010]
    Nyckelord :Event- related-potentials; RIF; retrieval-induced-forgetting; generation-induced-forgetting; GIF; ERP; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Although memory serves numerous functions, it is often not reflected upon until it fails us. Previous research has shown that both retrieval and generation of information may lead to forgetting of related items sharing the same cues and is referred to as retrieval induced forgetting (Anderson, Bjork & Bjork 1994; Bäuml 2002). 3. 23. Kategorisering av objekt i åldern 20-24 mån – form eller detalj? ERP- och beteendeanalys av visuell igenkänningsförmåga

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för psykologi

    Författare :Ola Brink; Andreas Gustafsson; [2010]
    Nyckelord :silhoutte; object recognition; ordförrådsspurt; formtendens; silhuett; objektigenkänning; detalj; shape bias; N400; detail; vocabulary spurt; ERP; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Den aktuella studien undersökte hur barn omkring perioden för ordförrådsspurten uppmärksammar generell form samt signifikanta detaljer vid visuell objektigenkänning, både avseende nya bild-ordpar samt för redan etablerade bild-ordpar. Event-Related Potentials (ERPs) registrerades i syfte att analysera hur barn på en neural nivå reagerar på kongruenta och inkongruenta presentationer av bild-ordpar, där objekten visades som hela bilder, silhuetter och detaljer. 4. 24. Neural Correlates of Emotional Retrieval Orientation: An electrophysiological investigation into strategic retrieval processing of emotional memories

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för psykologi

    Författare :Emelie Stiernströmer; [2010]
    Nyckelord :inclusion-exclusion paradigm; Retrieval orientation; retrieval process; ERP; emotion; episodic memory; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Retrieval Orientation refers to the differential processing of memory retrieval cues according to the sought after information (Rugg & Wilding, 2000). The study manipulated the orientation effect by varying the retrieval demand on a block basis using two emotional source recognition conditions and a non-emotional old-new recognition condition. 5. 25. Electrophysiological correlates of generation-induced-forgetting

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för psykologi

    Författare :Robin Hellerstedt; [2009]
    Nyckelord :cognitive inhibition; cue-overload; ERP; Event-related-potentials; RIF; retrieval-induced-forgetting; generation-induced-forgetting; GIF; retrieval inhibition; Stroop task; counting stroop; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of the present study was to examine the electrophysiological correlates of semantic generation, to study how repeated semantic generation, repeated study and repeated test opportunities affect memory performance and to create a non-verbal Stroop task. Earlier research has showed that cued semantic generation, also referred to as word generation, can cause forgetting of other memories associated to the same cue as the generated words. LÄS MER
