    Sammanfattning : This essay uses Pierre Bourdieus habitus, symbolic capital, Social fields, Stuart Halls representation theory and Encoding/Decoding system, as well as Henry Jenkins concept of convergence culture and media convergence, to conduct a reception study of Denis Villeneuves 2021 adaption of the science fiction movie Dune. The material collected for the reception study is collected in the form of reviews and features from experts in cinema, juxtaposed against material collected from YouTube in the form of reviews, reaction videos and video essays from social groups sectioned around cinephiles and science fiction fandom.     Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study is to see how historical films in history education can contribute to developing students' critical thinking about sources, historical consciousness, and various aspects of the uses of history. I showed a sequence of the film 1917 which is about the First World War, to a class of high school students who then worked on an assignment connected to the film and the purpose of the study.     Sammanfattning : The portrayal of Arabs and Muslims in American film and television has been a lopsided affair since the beginnings of Hollywood movie production. Over the course of film and TV production during the twentieth century, and later, Hollywood and TV production companies has used the Arab as a negative trope to negatively stereotype them, or to elevate the perception of American characters in contrast to the presentation of the baser character of the Arab.
