1. Machine Learning for Pulse Shape Analysis of Heavy Ions
Magister-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad kärnfysikSammanfattning : Most of the Generation IV nuclear reactors designs are intended to operate with a fast neutron spectrum. This necessitates further investigation into nuclear fuel behaviour because fast neutrons yield a higher neutron multiplicity with fission fragments, significantly impacting the criticality assessment of these reactors. 2. Total Monte Carlo of the fission model in GEF and its influence on the nuclear evaporation in TALYS
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad kärnfysikSammanfattning : Features recently added to the nuclear reaction software TALYS allow the use of the GEF model as a fission fragment generator. GEF generates data for fission fragment yields, total excitation energy (TXE), total kinetic energy (TKE) and individual fragment excitation energies (E*) with their standard deviations through Monte Carlo simulations for TALYS. 3. Simulations of energy losses of fission fragments in Mylar foils at LOHENGRIN

4. Pulse Shape Analysis of Si Detector Signals from Fission Fragments using the LOHENGRIN Spectrometer
L3-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad kärnfysikSammanfattning : Nuclear physics experiments typically involve the collection and analysis of detector signals produced by the interaction of subatomic particles with matter to deduce various quantities. When heavy ions are involved, Si Detector signals are distorted by the formation of a plasma-like cloud from the interaction between the heavy ions and the detector material. LÄS MER
5. Determination of the homogeneity of the detection efficiency of silicon detectors using light ions
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad kärnfysikSammanfattning : In this project, the homogeneity of the detection efficiency of two silicon detectors were examined using a radioactive alpha-source, 241Am, to study the surfaces of the detectors by exposing a small part of the detector at a time. By then observing the variations of the deposited alpha-energies at different positions on the detector, one can map the differences in the homogeneity of the surface. LÄS MER
