  1. 1. Increase of biogas production by incorporating residual streams from agriculture

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)

    Författare :Stephanie Fjäll; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Anaerobic digestion; Agricultural residue; Lignocellulosic biomass; Mechanical pretreatment; Biogas production; Biorefinery; Chemical engineering; Agriculture and Food Sciences; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : To expand the biogas production in Region Västra Götaland (RVG), residual streams from the agricultural sector can function as a large-scale supplier of biomass. The production of biogas decreases the dependence of fossil fuels and the digestate that is formed can also be returned to the agricultural sector, creating a closed loop. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Life Cycle Assessment of Electric Road Systems - Climate impact in comparison with battery electric vehicles, biogas vehicles and fuel cell electric vehicles

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Miljö- och energisystem

    Författare :Ebba Söderström; Emanuel Bengtsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Electric road systems; Elonroad; life cycle assessment; rail; feed-in station; pick-up; on-board charger; climate impact; global warming potential; articulated lorry; lower medium car; bus; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : One third of Sweden's total annual greenhouse gas emissions originate from the transport sector today and great changes are thus needed in order to reach the net zero emission target by 2045. One of the most important measures discussed is an increased electrification of the transport sector and a solution with potential to contribute to this transition is electric road systems (ERS), where vehicles are charged dynamically. 3. 3. On-Site Regeneration of Granular Activated Carbon : A literature study, comparison and assessment of different regeneration methods to find potential on-site regeneration method in Sweden

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Chinmay Mishra; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Granular Activated Carbon; GAC On-site Regeneration; Cost Estimation Analysis; GAC Chemical Regeneration;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis project, different existing granular activated carbon regeneration methods/technologies are assessed based on existing literature. The project aims to identify and analyse the method with the highest on-site regeneration potential by using the Himmerfjärdsverket wastewater treatment plant as a reference and performing a cost estimation analysis. 4. 4. Modelling and optimising a power-to-gas system : a case study in Uppsala

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, SLU/Dept. of Energy and Technology

    Författare :Carolina Hertzberg; [2020]
    Nyckelord :power-to-gas; dynamisk modell; fallstudie; biogas; optimering; lönsamhet;

    Sammanfattning : För att det svenska elnätet ska fungera krävs det att balansen på elnätet upprätthålls hela tiden, skillnader mellan produktion och efterfrågan leder till obalans på elnätet. I dagsläget, i Sverige, upprätthålls balansen genom att minska eller öka elproduktionen från vattenkraften. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Analyses of microbial community in nutrient solution with biofertilizer and risk assessment of establishment of pathogens

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Teknisk mikrobiologi

    Författare :Julia Södergren; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Biofertilizer; hydroponic; 16S rRNa sequencing; challenge testing; calorimetry; applied microbiology; teknisk mikrobiologi; Agriculture and Food Sciences; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The societal interest for a more sustainable and circular food production is increasing. Hydroponic farming is an alternative way of growing vegetables that can bring farming into urban environments, reducing long transports of food. In parallel, the focus in waste treatment is being more directed toward resource recovery. LÄS MER
