  1. 1. Evaluation of MPC and PI control on a Tribometer : Design and comparison of control methods for a Pin-on-Disc Tribometer

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Ehab Ziad Raheem; Tore Malmström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Control Theory; MPC; PI; PI-Cascade; Tribometer; Pin-on-Disc; Reglersystem; MPC; PI; PI-Kaskadreglering; Tribometer; Stift-På-Skiva;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis compares Model Predictive Control (MPC) and Proportional-Integral (PI) control in a pin-on-disc tribometer. The tribometer consists of a geared Direct Current (DC) motor driving a flywheel and a voice coil actuating a pin onto the surface of the flywheel. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Assessment of Lower Limb Muscle Strength: Feasibility and Implementation on Exxentric’s SingleExx Machines

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Medicinteknik och hälsosystem

    Författare :Maximilian Geisler; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Force measurement; Lower limb strength; Symmetry assessment; Flywheel-based leg extension machine; Prototype development; Isokinetic dynamometer; Kraftmätning; Styrka i nedre extremiteterna; Symmetribedömning; Flywheel- baserad benförlängningsmaskin; Prototyputveckling; Isokinetisk dynamometer;

    Sammanfattning : Measuring lower limb strength and symmetry is a common practice in elite sports to determine the return to sports point in time during rehabilitation, and this information could be useful for amateur athletes too. However, the devices used for this are highly sophisticated and hardly accessible. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Exploring the Feasibility of Exercise Detection on the Exxentric kBox Platform

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Medicinteknik och hälsosystem

    Författare :Mahyar Mehr; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Machine learning; Flywheel training; Exercise detection; Signal processing; Exxentric kBox platform; Automatic exercise classification; Feature engineering; Maskininlärning; Träning med svänghjul; Upptäckt av träning; Signalbehandling; Exxentric kBox-plattformen; Automatisk träningklassificering; Funktionsutveckling;

    Sammanfattning : Flywheel training is an increasingly popular training method that aids in the recovery process and promotes strength development while reducing the risk of re-injury. Additionally, automatic exercise classification offers athletes the convenience of effortlessly monitoring and tracking their training progress, enabling them to maintain consistency and achieve their fitness goals effectively. 4. 4. Development of Application for Fatigue and Asymmetry Feedback During Flywheel Training : Evaluating Usability and Feasibility of Synchronized Sensor Data

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Medicinteknik och hälsosystem

    Författare :Jonatan Hussmo; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Sensor synchronization; Fatigue; Asymmetry; Flywheel training; Usability; Sensorsynkronisering; Trötthet; Asymmetri; Svänghjulsträning; Användbarhet;

    Sammanfattning : Using technology to evaluate performance is a field that previously has been limited to laboratories and high budgets. Today, the evolving of sensor technology and "internet of things" can help us provide more accessible, affordable and perhaps even more reliable feedback about performance. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Alternative Energy Storage Solutions and Future Scenarios of the Austerland Energy System

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Jennie Lindblom; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Gotland; Östergarnslandet; Polygeneration system; Homer Pro; Solar PV; Wind power; Energy storage; Battery; Hydrogen; Flywheel; Redox Flow battery; Pumped Hydro; Sustainable development.; Gotland; Östergarnslandet; Poly-genererings system; Homer Pro; Solceller; Vindkraft; Energilagring; Batterier; Vätgas; Svänghjul; Redox Flödesbatteri; Pumpkraftverket; Hållbar utveckling.;

    Sammanfattning : The project Austerland Energi at the eastern tip of the island of Gotland called Östergarnslandet was started as a response to the larger project Omställning Gotland funded by the Swedish government as an effort for a pilot project to convert to renewable energy to reach zero CO2-emissions for the country in 2045. The current plan for the Austerland energy system is a solar PV and wind production base with energy storage in the form of batteries and hydrogen which also can be used as vehicle fuel. LÄS MER
