    Sammanfattning : This study conducts a Life Cycle Assessment to compare the environmental impacts, specifically climate impact and fossil fuel use, of textile toys produced in China and Sri Lanka. Through evaluating large-scale industrial production in China against small-scale, handcrafted production in Sri Lanka, it identifies the considerable environmental footprint of cotton production in both scenarios.     Sammanfattning : This thesis is a case study of the Swedish manufacturing industry in which I measure how efficiently each sector uses energy (fuel and electricity) as input goods in their production processes, and how significant the impact of Sweden’s energy tax is in regard to energy efficiency. The purpose of this is to analyze energy security and preparedness for short-term demand shocks for electricity, as many ‘mega-investments’ of industrial nature are being planned in Sweden – which are predicted to require the installed capacity of Sweden’s electricity production to almost double by 2045.     Sammanfattning : This thesis emerged from a question that had been repeating itself in my head for a long period of time: If myself and the rest of the world face the fact that we are likely to keep flying for years to come for reasons somehow considered valid, how can we at the same time still contribute efficiently to achieving a more sustainable future of aviation? Based on this dilemma and focusing on the factor of impact, an actor with the power of creating a larger impact than a single individual was firstly identified.
