2. What if…? – How AI Chatbots Could Reconfigure Grocery Shopping In-store
Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Graduate SchoolSammanfattning : In the light of the rapid development of AI technology, this paper aims to explore how the integration of the novel application of an AI chatbot would reconfigure the practice of grocery shopping in brickand- mortar stores contributing to the trend of self-service. Based on a hypothetical scenario discussed in focus groups and drawing on practice theory, the study points out that, by adding this new element, the links between the elements of the practice would change, inducing a change in meaning from purely functional to more inspirational. 3. Breaking the Status Quo? - An Analysis of Sustainability Managers' Change Efforts
Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Graduate SchoolSammanfattning : Societal expectations towards corporations to include social, environmental and ethical considerations have grown in importance, and corporations largely depend on so-called sustainability managers to help them meet these expectations. This thesis provides one of the first studies into how sustainability managers work and asks: how do sustainability managers work to change their organisation for a more sustainable future? Through interviews with 18 senior sustainability managers and an analysis of the empirical findings through institutional entrepreneurship and institutional logics theory, this study identifies sustainability managers as individual actors who adopt strategic approaches and work practices similar to institutional entrepreneurs and shows their efforts to institutionalise sustainability by hybridising it with the perceived dominant market logic and by establishing legitimacy. Nevertheless, contemporary research rarely describes the dynamic change of stakeholder relationship during the course of a project and mainly focuses on public-private partnership projects where the relationships are complex and some external stakeholders can be threatening to project goals.
