  1. 6. The value of cardiac MRI texture analysis in patients with clinically suspected myocarditis

    Master-uppsats,

    Författare :Evin Ina Papalini; [2021-05-10]
    Nyckelord :Medical physics; Myocarditis; Cardiac magnetic resonance; Texture analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Purpose: The aim of this proof-of-concept study was to assess the diagnostic value of texture analysis (TA) based on conventional balanced steady-state-free precession (bSSFP), late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) and T2-weighted cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI) in patients with clinically suspected myocarditis. Method: A retrospective cohort study was performed based on 30 patients who underwent a comprehensive CMRI due to clinically suspected myocarditis between 2013 and 2018 at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital: 10 patients with clinical signs and positive myocardial biomarkers (Troponin T, indicating myocardial injury) as well as positive CMRI findings according to Lake Louise Criteria (LLC; group 1), 10 patients with clinical signs and positive myocardial biomarkers but negative CMRI findings according to LLC (group 2), and 10 patients with clinical signs but both negative myocardial biomarkers as well as CMRI findings according to LLC (control group). 2. 7. Material decomposition using a photon counting X-ray detector in low energy range

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Sjukhusfysikerutbildningen

    Författare :Rasmus Solem; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Medicine and Health Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Material decomposition in X-ray imaging is used to separate different materials or elements in an image and to quantify their respective concentration. The material decomposition and quantification are made possible by the dependency of attenuation on the attenuating material and photon energy. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Gadoliniumansamling hos patienter med multipel skleros samt implementering av artificiell intelligens vid magnetresonanstomografi

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för hälsa, lärande och teknik

    Författare :Sofia Lindström; Maja Becarevic; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Gadolinium; deposition; signal intensity; magnetic resonance imaging; Xray nurse; radiographer; artificial intelligence; deep learning; multiple sclerosis; Gadolinium; ansamling; signalintensitet; magnetresonanstomografi; röntgensjuksköterska; radiografi; artificiell intelligens; deep learning; multipel skleros;

    Sammanfattning : Introduktion: Uppskattningsvis 40% av alla magnetresonanstomografiska (MRT) undersökningar som görs i Europa och USA utförs med gadoliniumbaserade kontrastmedel. Under det senaste decenniet har det i flera studier uppmärksammats att ansamling av gadolinium sker i olika strukturer i hjärnan. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Chromatographic separation of rare earth elements using a novel extractant mixture

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Kemiteknik

    Författare :Tim Aronsson; [2021]
    Nyckelord :chromatography; HPLC; rare earth elements; separation; recovery; kromatografi; HPLC; sällsynta jordartsmetaller; separation; återvinning;

    Sammanfattning : Sällsynta jordartsmetaller är en kritisk råvara som står inför viktiga utmaningar gällande utbud och efterfrågan. För att överkomma dessa utmaningar behövs det effektiva separationsmetoder. Den här rapporten studerar separationen av sällsynta jordartsmetaller med extraktionskromatografi. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Development of a Neutron Activation Analysis station at the Lund Ion Beam Analysis Facility

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Josephine Lindsey-Clark; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Neutron Activation Analysis; NAA; European Spallation Source; ESS; Lund Ion Beam Analysis Facility; LIBAF; Gamma-Ray Spectra; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : This report outlines the first stages of the development of the Neutron Activation Analysis station at the Lund Ion Beam Analysis Facility in the Division of Nuclear Physics, Lund University. The motivation for this project is to use the Neutron Activation Analysis detection technique for environmental monitoring around the European Spallation Source, soon to come into operation. LÄS MER
