  1. 21. Implementing a multi-criteria GIS analysis and predictive modelling to locate Upper Palaeolithic decorated caves in the Périgord noir, France

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Benjamin Bernard Fabien Gérard Borgeais; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Geography; GIS; MCDA; MCE; MCDM; MCA; predictive modelling; archaeology; decorated caves; Upper Palaeolithic; Périgord; Dordogne; Vézère; France; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Geographical Information Systems are a powerful tool for the processing of geographical data and can be used to implement predictive modelling for the purpose of archaeological research. The study presented here proposes a predictive model based on multi-criteria evaluation, and aims at analysing the parameters of known Upper Palaeolithic decorated caves in the Périgord noir, in southwest France. 2. 22. Automatisering av markbedömning för nya kraftledningar med GIS : Metodutveckling med MKA

    M1-uppsats,

    Författare :Anton Bondesson; Lisa Wessman; [2022]
    Nyckelord :GIS; MCA; WLC; FME; ArcGIS Pro; Power lines; GIS; MKA; WLC; FME; ArcGIS Pro; Kraftledning;

    Sammanfattning : The Swedish power grid is facing challenging times to cope with the transition to green renewable energy and to ensure safe and sustainable transportation through the country. The need to upkeep with maintenance and reconstruction as well as construction of new power lines requires planning and overhead power lines require extensive areas of safe zones below the power lines. 3. 23. Temporal evaluation of retention patch development : retention patches in Swedish forestry

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Ecology and Management

    Författare :Noel Wieser; Per Schönning; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Retention forestry; Retention patch; Inland; Near coastal; Geographics information systems; Orthophotos; Västerbotten;

    Sammanfattning : The demands on the world’s forests are increasing rapidly and the different interests are conflicting, often including goals of biodiversity and timber production. Forest management has since the 1990s included a scientifically validated measure known as retention forestry, to better balance conflicting goals of forest management. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Modelling of Inflow and Infiltration into Wastewater Systems with Regression and Random Forest

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Författare :Viggo Steen Danielsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Regression; random forest; wastewater systems; rainwater infiltration; rainwater inflow.; Regression; random forest; avloppssystem; trög regnpåverkan; snabb regnpåverkan.;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the validity of statistical modelling, with regards to flow in wastewater systems based on precipitation. A wastewater system, which is a system of pump-stations connected via pipes, is affected by precipitation as rainwater enters the system. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Mussels in deep water with climate change: Spatial distribution of mussel (Mytilus galloprovincialis) growth offshore in the French Mediterranean with respect to climate change scenario RCP 8.5 Long Term and Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) using Dynamic Energy Budget (DEB) modelling

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Victoria Persson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Geography; Geographical Information Systems; GIS; Physical Geography; Mediterranean; Mytilus galloprovincialis; Dynamic Energy Budget; DEB; growth rate; France; mussel cultivation; mussel farming; offshore; aquaculture; climate change; Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture; IMTA; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Victoria Persson Abstract Mussel cultivation is a sustainable type of food production that may help mitigate the nutritional needs of a future world population of 10-12 billion in 2100. The demand for mussels on the French market is increasing but the production is saturated due to a lack of space for expanding the cultivation close to shore. LÄS MER
