21. Co-occurence and co-metabolism of phototrophic and heterotrophic microbial communities in the Baltic Sea
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildningSammanfattning : In the marine water column, microbial autotrophs and heterotrophs coexist forming the beginning of the food chain which sustains the whole biological system. Both groups play a vital role in the microbial loop. LÄS MER
22. Anaerobic Co-digestion of Sewage sludge, Algae and Coffee Ground
Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomiSammanfattning : Energy shortfall and air pollution are some of the challenges the human kind is facing today. Fossil fuel is still the most widely used fuel, which is a non-renewable resource, increasing excess carbon dioxide into the air. LÄS MER
23. Biodiversity of Organic-Walled Eukaryotic Microfossils from the Tonian Visingsö Group, Sweden
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : The diversification of unicellular, auto- and heterotrophic protists and the appearance of multicellular microorganisms is recorded in numerous Tonian age successions worldwide, including the Visingsö Group in southern Sweden. The Tonian Period (1000-720 Ma) was a time of changes in the marine environments with increasing oxygenation and a high input of mineral nutrients from the weathering continental margins to shallow shelves, where marine life thrived. 24. Palaeoenvironments of the Earliest (Middle Devonian) Tetrapod Trackways from the Holy Cross Mountains, Poland; Locomotion in a Terrestrial Setting?
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : The palaeoenvironment from which early tetrapods emerged is crucial to comprehend in order to understand the mechanisms that drove and allowed the terrestrialization of vertebrates; one of the most important evolutionary ‘events’ in the history of animals. Nevertheless, much of the terrestrialization is shrouded in obscurity, inter alia, due to scarcity of early tetrapods in the fossil record. LÄS MER
25. Relation between hydrogen production and photosynthesis in the green algae Chlamydomonas reinhardtii
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildningSammanfattning : The modernized world is over-consuming low-cost energy sources that strongly contributes to pollution and environmental stress. As a consequence, the interest for environmentally friendly alternatives has increased immensely. LÄS MER
