1. A geophysical survey in the Chocaya Basin in the central Valley of Cochabamba, Bolivia, using ERT and TEM
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionenSammanfattning : The Chocaya Basin is situated in the north-western part of the Valley of Cochabamba, Bolivia, where a semi-arid climate prevails. The increasing population is dependent on local aquifers for drinking water and irrigation. Wells are used to extract water. LÄS MER
2. Groundwater flow paths in fractured crystalline bedrock : Electromagnetic VLF measurements and modelling of a groundwater basin in Svanberga, Sweden
Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Sweden is a country with a relatively high number of private wells, where about 1.2 million inhabitants in permanent housing and an equal amount in summer housing relies on private wells as their drinking water supply. At the same time the market for drinking water treatment products is unregulated regarding quality and requirements are needed. LÄS MER
3. Interpretation of geophysical and geochemical data in a 3D geological model construction of a contaminated site
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Teknisk geologi; Lunds universitet/Väg- och vattenbyggnad (CI)Sammanfattning : The Alingsås dry-cleaning facility is one of the heavily halogenated hydrocarbon contaminated sites in Sweden. The source of contamination dates back to the 1970s when a large scale tetrachloroethylene leakage outbroke inside the dry-cleaning building. LÄS MER
4. Application of ERT and IP for localisation of chlorinated hydrocarbons at a former dry-cleaning facility
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Teknisk geologi; Lunds universitet/Väg- och vattenbyggnad (CI)Sammanfattning : At Hagforstvätten a dry-cleaning facility operated 1970 – 1993 and leached huge amounts of tetrachloroethene (PCE) to soil and groundwater. This study was conducted at the contaminated site and focused on applying the geophysical methods Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) and Induced Polarization (IP) to investigate if it was possible to locate source zone, degradation zones and groundwater plumes of PCE. 5. Acoustic survey of sea floor features in Asköfjärden
Kandidat-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för geologiska vetenskaperSammanfattning : Marine geological surveys in Asköfjärden in the southern Stockholm Archipelago hasrevealed step like features in the sediments on the Baltic sea floor. The aim of this project is toanalyse the steps and possible formation processes from the survey data. LÄS MER
