    Sammanfattning : We study Cheeger-Simons differential characters in order to define higher form U(1) gauge fields and their Wilson lines. We then go on to define generalized global symmetries.     Sammanfattning : We review equivariant localization and through the Feynman formalism of quantum mechanics motivate its role as a tool for calculating partition functions. We also consider a specific supersymmetric theory of one boson and two fermions and conclude that by applying localization to its partition function we may arrive at a known result that has previously been derived using different approaches.     Sammanfattning : In the application of stereotactic radiosurgery for treatment of brain tumors it is imperative that patients are positioned with sub-millimetre accuracy so as to not damage surrounding healthy tissue during treatment. We investigate how feasible the technique of digitally reconstructed radiographs is as a registration method for patient positioning in this type of high-accuracy application. LÄS MER
