  1. 1. Model building on gCICYs

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för fysik och astronomi

    Författare :Davide Passaro; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Mathematical Physics; Geometry; Calabi Yau; Complete Intersection Calabi Yau; Generalized Complete Intersection Calabi Yau;

    Sammanfattning : Prompted by the success of heterotic line bundle model building on Complete Intersection Calabi Yau (CICY) manifolds and the new developments regarding a generalization thereof, I analyze the possibility of model building on generalized CICY (gCICY) manifolds.  Ultimately this is realized on two examples of gCICYs, one of which topologically equivalent to a CICY and one inequivalent to any previously studied examples. 2. 2. Finiteness of Complete Intersection Calabi Yau Threefolds

    L3-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Teoretisk fysik

    Författare :Davide Passaro; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Mathematical Physics; Geometry; Calabi Yau; Complete Intersection Calabi Yau;

    Sammanfattning : Of many modern constructions in geometry Calabi Yau manifolds hold special relevance in theoretical physics. These manifolds naturally arise from the study of compactification of certain string theories. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Browsing the Web of Amplitudes

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Teoretisk fysik

    Författare :Alexander Söderberg; [2016]
    Nyckelord :amplitude; amplitudes; relation; relations; browsing; web; bcj; kk; double; copy; zeroth; klt; single; valued; projection; quantum; field; theory; qft; string; type; I; II; heterotic;

    Sammanfattning : We begin by studying field-theory amplitude relations such as the Kleiss-Kuijf, Bern-Carrasco-Johansson, Kawai-Lewellen-Tye and the double copy construction, which are important ingredients in this thesis. Going beyond the field-theory limit we study how the gauge-sector of the heterotic string relates to type I amplitudes through the single valued projection of multiple zeta values. LÄS MER
